பாரத தேசத்தில் இந்து ஞான மரபு பல்லாயிரக்கணக்கான ஆண்டுகள் தொன்மையான வரலாறு பெற்று நீடித்து  நிற்பது. அதன் அடிப்படையான உருவாக்கமே உபநிஷதங்கள். அவை என்றைக்கும் நிலைத்து நிற்க கூடிய வாழ்வின் அத்தியாவசியமான உண்மைகளை உணர்த்துவன. உபநிஷதங்களிலும், தமிழிலும் ஆழமான தேர்ச்சி பெற்ற பேரா. செ. ஞானபூபதி ஐயா அவர்கள் தொடர்ந்து உபநிஷதங்களை அற்புதமான முறையில் தமிழில் மொழி பெயர்த்துக் கொடுத்து வருகிறார். அந்த வகையில் தற்போது  பிருஹதாரண்யக உபநிஷதம் பற்றிய இந்த அருமையான நூல் வெளிவந்துள்ளது.  

பிருஹதாரண்யக உபநிஷதம் முதன்மையான உபநிஷதங்களில் ஒன்றாக உள்ளது. இந்து பண்பாட்டில் ஆரம்ப உபநிஷத நூல்களில் ஒன்று. இது இந்து தர்மத்தின் வெவ்வேறு சிந்தனை மரபுகளுக்கான ஒரு முக்கிய நூல். இது உருவானதன் கால கட்டம் சரியாகத் தெரியவில்லை. ஆனால் பொது யுக காலத்துக்கு முன்னர், அதாவது இப்போதிருந்து சுமார் 2600 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்னரே, அதன் பல பகுதிகள் உருவாக்கப்பட்டுள்ளதாக தெரிகிறது.

பிருஹதாரண்யக என்றால் வனம் என்று பொருள் கொள்ளலாம். இது ஆறு அத்தியாயங்களைக் கொண்ட ஒரு பெரிய தொகுப்பு. இந்து தர்மத்தின் அடிப்படைக் கோட்பாடுகளான கர்மா, ஆத்மா, பிரம்மன், மரணத்துக்குப் பிந்தைய வாழ்க்கை உள்ளிட்ட முக்கிய விசயங்கள் பற்றி இது பேசுகிறது. இதன் பல பகுதிகள் அற்புதமான உரையாடல்களாக அமைந்துள்ளன. ஞானி யாக்யவல்கர் மற்றும் ஜனகரிடையே நடக்க கூடிய உரையாடல்கள் வாழ்க்கையின் ஆழமான உண்மைகளை உணர்த்துகின்றன. யாக்யவல்கர் மற்றும் அவரது மனைவி மைத்ரேயி இடையே நடக்கும் உரையாடல் வாழ்க்கையின் உயர்ந்த நோக்கம் பற்றி எடுத்துரைக்கின்றது.

பிரபஞ்சம் உருவானது பற்றிய வேதக் கோட்பாடுகளில் ஒன்று குறித்துச் சொல்லி இந்த உபநிஷதம் தொடங்குகிறது. அது உருவாவதற்கு முன்னால் எதுவுமே இங்கில்லை; பின்னர் பிரஜாபதி ஒன்றுமில்லாதில் இருந்து அதை உருவாக்கினான் எனக் குறிப்பிடுகிறது.

அந்தப் பொருள் குறித்துச் சொல்லும் போது அதன் சமஸ்கிருத மூலத்தை தமிழில் கீழ்கண்ட எளிமையான பாடல் வழியாக  ஆசிரியர் கூறுகிறார்.

“ எதுவுமிங்கே ஆதியில் இருக்கவில்லை;

      எங்கெங்கும் இறைவன் தான் நிறைந்திருந்தான்.

இது தவத்தால் நிறைந்திருந்த தென்றும் சொல்வர்;

     ஏனென்றால் தவமே அவ்விறைவன் தான்”

இவ்வாறு நூல் முழுவதும் எளிய தமிழில் பாடல்கள் மற்றும் அவற்றைத் தொடர்ந்து உரைநடை வாயிலான விளக்கங்கள் நமக்கு உபநிஷதத்தை சுலபமாக புரிந்து கொள்ள உதவுகிறது. நூலாசிரியரின் விளக்கத்துக்குப் பின்னர் ஆதி சங்கரர், சுவாமி விவேகானந்தர், சுவாமி ஆசுதோஷானந்தர் உள்ளிட்ட மகான்களின் விளக்கங்கள் நூலுக்கு வலு சேர்க்கின்றன. மேலும் கடினமான பதங்களுக்கும் போதிய விளக்கங்கள் கொடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன.

நாம் நடைமுறையில் அதிகமாக உபயோகப்படுத்தப்பட்டு வரும் ஒரு முக்கிய பாடல்  இந்த உபநிஷத்திலிருந்துதான் எடுக்கப்படுகிறது. அதன் தமிழாக்கம்:

“ உண்மையற்றதிலிருந்து உண்மைக்கு என்னை அழைத்துச் செல்க;

 இருளிலிருந்து ஒளிக்கு என்னை அழைத்துச் செல்க;

மரணத்திலிருந்து மரணமில்லாப் பெருநிலைக்கு என்னை அழைத்துச் செல்க

ஓம் சாந்தி; சாந்தி; சாந்தி”

அதே போல “ அஹம் பிரமாஸ்மி” என்ற கருத்தும் இந்த நூலிலுருந்தான் வருகிறது.

இந்த நூல் வாழ்க்கை பற்றிய சில நுட்பமான விசயங்களை எடுத்துச் சொல்கிறது. உதாரணமாக, ஆத்மா என்பது மகனை விடவும், செல்வத்தை விடவும், மற்றெல்லாவற்றையும் விடவும் முக்கியமானது எனச் சொல்கிறது. பிரம்மன் என்கின்ற கருத்தை விவரிக்கிறது. பிராணன் என்னும் செல்வத்தை அறிந்து உணர்வோருக்குப் பெரும் செல்வம் வாய்க்கும் எனக் கூறுகிறது.  இந்த உடல் கணவன் – மனைவி என இருவராலும் நிரப்பப்படுவது எனச் சொல்கிறது. ஒருவன் அவன் செயல்களைப் பொருத்தே அமைகிறான்  என எடுத்துரைக்கிறது.

மேலும் இந்த நூல்  தற்போது பிரபலமாக கருதப்படும் உளவியல் கோட்பாடுகள் சம்பந்தமான விசயங்களை எடுத்துச் சொல்கிறது. அதனால் இது முந்தைய கால கட்டங்களில் நிபுணர்களால் உளவியல் கோட்பாடுகளைப் பற்றி அறிந்து கொள்ள அடிப்படையான நூலாகவும்   இது அமைந்து வந்துள்ளது.

உபநிஷதங்கள் பாரத தேசம் உலகுக்கு அளித்த நன்கொடை. அதை அனைவரும் படித்து தெரிந்து கொள்வது அவசியம். நமது கடமையும் கூட. ஆனால் துரதிர்ஷ்டவசமாக அவை எளிதில் அனைவரும் புரிந்து கொள்ளும் வகையில் சமகாலத்தில் எளிய தமிழில் வரவில்லை.அந்த வகையில் ஐயாவின் பணி மகத்தானது. அவரை தொடர்ந்து ஊக்கப்படுத்தி புத்தகங்கள் வெளிவர காரணமாக இருக்கும் எக்ஸ்லான் திரு கே.ராமசாமி அண்ணா அவர்கள் நமது மனமார்ந்த பாராட்டுதலுக்கு உரியவர்கள்.

இந்த நூலை தமிழ் கூறும் நல்லுலகம் அவசியம் வாங்கி படித்து பயனுறை வேண்டுமென அன்புடன் கேட்டுக் கொள்கிறேன்.

Historic Transition From Women Development to Women-led Development Under PM Modi

 

On the occasion of the 77^th Independence day on Aug.15, 2023, Honourable PM Shri Narendra Modi emphasized that women- led development is essential to take the nation forward. Since 2014, the Government has been continuously taking multiple steps for the welfare of women and launching several initiatives to make them the major participants in the development process. Women-led development has become the mantra and a top priority agenda for the Government during the last nine years.

To achieve the objective, the Government has introduced many new and innovative schemes in different fields. From construction of toilets, to providing tapped water at homes, constructing houses in their names, providing gas connections, getting them into the banking system, making them fly fighter plans and facilitating them to be part of the decision- making process, we have been   witnessing different types of initiatives being implemented with a mission- mode.   

As a result, women have become the major beneficiaries of various Government welfare programmes and incentives. There are several schemes to build their capacities in different fields such as nutrition, health and education. When we take nutrition for example, POSHAN Abhiyan is improving the key nutrition parameters of women and children, while the PM Matru Vandana Yojana is enhancing the nutritional needs of pregnant women and lactating mothers.

There are special schemes for women to make them employable and get into entrepreneurship. Self-employment of women is promoted through STEP scheme. Stand Up India facilitates loans up to one crore for at least one woman in every bank branch of all scheduled banks for setting up green field projects.

As a result, we are witnessing a historic change in the lives of women in the country. A study undertaken by Ministry of Jal Sakthi in collaboration with UNICEF and others on the performance of Swachh Bharat Mission revealed how the lives of women have transformed drastically after the construction of toilets in their homes. The study titled ‘Access to Toilets and the Safety, Convenience and Self-respect of Women in Rural India’ (2020) states after six years of implementation of the scheme, 91 percent of the women reported that they were able to save up to one hour and do not have to travel up to a kilometer for defecation. Besides 88 percent of them reported that having a toilet at home has increased their pride, besides improving health and increasing safety. 

Moreover, there is a huge transformation in empowering women, which had never happened earlier. Now girls constitute 43 percent of STEM education stream of students. A record number of 28.29 crore women have become the beneficiaries through Jan Dhan Yojana for the first time in their lives. This number is more than 55 percent of the total beneficiaries. Among the beneficiaries of the MUDRA Yojana around 70 percent are women, enabling them to become entrepreneurs.

 The importance that the PM gives to women-led development could be understood from the fact that he underlined his Government’s approach even at the international level. In his video message at the G-20 Ministerial Conference on Women Empowerment, PM noted that ‘Women-led development in India is our main priority’ and mentioned that when women prosper, the World prospers. Besides, the economic empowerment of women was at the heart of India’s G-20 Agenda.

Since the ancient periods, Indian civilization has always nurtured and respected women power. That is the reason why we have had scholars and leaders of exceptional expertise in different parts of the country over several centuries. Field studies reveal that in the contemporary India, women play the critical role in driving the cultural and economic systems, apart from being the backbone of our family system.

Our PM’s initiatives to give the mothers, sisters and daughters of India the required impetus are not just make the development process more inclusive, but to make it complete, besides enabling it to move at a much faster pace. With the sustained efforts of the Government over the last nine years, the results are there before us to see. Surely a historic transformation is taking place before our us in Independent India. Let us all celebrate it.

நிப்டி- 50 குறியீடு 20,000 புள்ளிகளைத் தொட்டு வரலாற்றுச் சாதனை

 

நமது நாடு ஜி – 20 சர்வதேசக் கூட்டமைப்பின் தலைமைப் பொறுப்பை வகித்து அதன் உச்சி மாநாட்டை டெல்லியில் மிகவும் வெற்றிகரமாக நடத்தி முடித்த மறு நாள் செப்டம்பர் 11 ஆம் தேதியன்று, இந்திய பங்குச் சந்தையில் ஒரு வரலாற்றுச் சாதனை நிகழ்ந்துள்ளது. அன்றைய தினம் பங்குச்சந்தையின் ஏற்ற இறக்கங்களைச் சுட்டிக் காட்டக் கூடிய  குறியீட்டு எண்களில் மிக முக்கியமானதாகக் கருதப்படும்  நிப்டி-50 இருபதாயிரம் புள்ளிகளைத் தொட்டு புதிய உச்சத்தை அடைந்துள்ளது.

இந்திய பங்குச் சந்தைகளில் முதன்மையானதாக விளங்கும் தேசிய பங்குச் சந்தையின் நிப்டி-50 குறியீடு 1996 ஆம் ஆண்டு துவக்கப்பட்டது. அது தேசிய பங்குச் சந்தையில் பரிவர்த்தனை செய்யப்படும் சுமார் 1600 பங்குகளில் மிக முக்கியமான ஐம்பது பங்குகளின் சராசரியை வைத்து   உருவாக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. அந்தப் பங்குகள் நமது பொருளாதாரத்துக்கு அடிப்படையாக உள்ள இருபதுக்கும் மேற்பட்ட வெவ்வேறு துறைகளைச் சார்ந்தவை.

அவற்றின் மதிப்பு பங்குச் சந்தையில் வியாபாரத்துக்குக் கிடைக்கும் பங்குகளின் மொத்த சந்தை மதிப்பில் 60 விழுக்காட்டுக்கு மேலானதாக உள்ளது.  அதனால் நிப்டி -50 குறியீடு இந்திய நிதிச் சந்தை பற்றி பரவலான மதிப்பீட்டை அளிக்கும் தன்மை கொண்டது.  மேலும் அதுதான் உலக அளவில் அதிக செயல்பாட்டுடன் வியாபாரம் செய்யப்படும் ஒப்பந்தமாக இருந்து வருகிறது.

1996-ல் அந்தக் குறியீடு ஆயிரம் புள்ளிகளை அடிப்படைக் குறியீட்டு எண்ணாக வைத்து உருவாக்கப்பட்டது. பின்னர் பதினோரு ஆண்டுகள் கழித்து, 2007 ஆம் வருடத்தில் அது ஆறாயிரத்தை தாண்டியது. மேலும் பத்து ஆண்டுகள் கழித்து 2017 ஆம் வருடம் அந்தக் குறியீடு பத்தாயிரத்தை தொட்டது. ஆகவே ஆரம்பித்த பின்  இருபத்தொரு ஆண்டுகள் கழித்த பின்னர், அது பத்தாயிரத்தை எட்டியது.

தொடந்து அடுத்த ஆறு வருட காலத்துக்குள்ளாகவே  இரண்டாவது  பத்தாயிரத்தைத் தாண்டி,  தற்போது இருபதாயிரத்தைக் கடந்துள்ளது. எனவே முதல் பத்தாயிரத்தைத் தொட இருபத்து மூன்று ஆண்டுகள் ஆன போது, இரண்டாவது பத்தாயிரத்தைத் தொட ஆறு ஆண்டுகள் கூட ஆகவில்லை. அதற்குக் காரணம் நமது பொருளாதாரத்தில் அண்மைக் காலமாக ஏற்பட்டு வரும் வளர்ச்சியை ஒட்டிய  நல்ல மாற்றங்களாகும்.

இத்தனைக்கும், கடந்த மூன்றாண்டு காலமாக உலக நாடுகள்  அனைத்தும் கோவிட் பெருந்தொற்று மற்றும் ரஷ்யா-உக்ரைன் போரினால் பெரும் பாதிப்புகளுக்கு ஆளாகியுள்ளன.  2020 மார்ச் மாதம் தொடங்கி, உலக நாடுகளின் பொருளாதாரங்களை கொரோனா தொற்று புரட்டிப் போட்டு விட்டது. அதிலிருந்து மீள்வதற்குள் போர் ஏற்பட்டு அதனால் கடும் விளைவுகள் ஏற்பட்டுள்ளன.

ஆனால் அவற்றையெல்லாம் மீறி இந்தியா உலக அளவில் மிக வேகமாக வளரும் பெரிய பொருளாதாரமாக இருந்து வருகிறது. கொரோனாவைக் கையாண்டதில் உலக அளவில் பெரும் வெற்றி பெற்ற நாடாக இந்தியா இருந்தது. எனவே இந்தியப் பொருளாதாரம்  எதிர்பாராத இரு பெரும் சவால்களை முறியடித்து, திறமையான முறையில் முன்னேறி வருகிறது.

 நிப்டி -50 குறியீட்டின் கடந்த இருபத்தேழு வருட கால பிரயாணம் முதலீட்டாளர்கள் நமது பங்குச் சந்தைகளின் மேல் கொண்டுள்ள நம்பிக்கை அதிகரித்துக் கொண்டு வருவதைக் காட்டுகிறது. இந்திய பங்குச் சந்தையின் செயல்பாடுகள், ஒழுங்கு கட்டுப்பாட்டு முறைகள் மற்றும் சட்ட ரீதியான அமைப்புகள் ஆகியன பங்குச் சந்தைகள் நியாயமாகவும், வெளிப்படையாகவும் செயல்பட வழிவகுத்து வருகின்றன. அதனால் உலக அளவில் மிகக் குறைந்த செலவில் செயல்பட்டு வரும் திறமையான ஒன்றாக  இந்திய பங்குச் சந்தை விளங்கி வருகிறது.

குறிப்பாக நிப்டி -50 குறியீட்டின் அண்மைக் கால வளர்ச்சி மிக வேகமாக உள்ளது. 2021 ஆம் ஆண்டு பிப்ரவரியில் பதினைந்தாயிரத்தை அடைந்த குறியீடு, சுமார் இரண்டரை வருட காலத்தில் ஐயாயிரம் புள்ளிகளைக் கடந்து இருபதாயிரத்தை அடைந்துள்ளது. அதிலும் கடந்த ஐம்பத்தி இரண்டு வியாபார நாட்களில் மட்டும் ஆயிரம் புள்ளிகள் அதிகரித்து வந்துள்ளது.

இதன் மூலம்  உள்நாட்டு மற்றும் வெளிநாட்டு முதலீட்டாளர்கள் இந்திய மூலதனச் சந்தைகளின் மேல் வைத்துள்ள நம்பிக்கை அண்மைக் காலமாக தொடர்ந்து அதிகரித்து வருவது தெரிகிறது. கடந்த ஒன்பது வருடங்களுக்கு மேலாக பிரதமர் மோடி தலைமையிலான அரசு பொருளாதாரத்தை மேம்படுத்த எடுத்து வரும் நடவடிக்கைகள் மூலதனச்  சந்தைகளின் வேகமான வளர்ச்சிக்கு காரணமாக இருந்து வருகின்றன.

நிப்டி-50 தொடங்கி கடந்த இருபத்தேழு ஆண்டுகளில் அதன் மேலான  வருமானம் இருபது மடங்கு அதிகரித்துள்ளது என்பது இந்தியப் பொருளாதாரத்தின் அடிப்படை வலிமையைக் காட்டுகிறது. ஆகையால் தற்போது தேசிய பங்குச் சந்தையில் பதிவு செய்து கொண்டுள்ள முதலீட்டாளர்கள் எண்ணிக்கை ஏழரை கோடிக்கு மேலாக உள்ளது. எனவே சுமார் ஐந்து கோடி குடும்பங்கள் தங்களின் சேமிப்புகளின் ஒரு பகுதியையாவது நேரடியாக பங்குச் சந்தையில் முதலீடு செய்து வருவதாகத் தெரிய வருகிறது. 

நிப்டி -50 குறியீடு இருபதாயிரம் புள்ளிகளைத் தொட்டிருப்பது இந்திய பங்குச் சந்தை வரலாற்றில் ஒரு அசாத்திய சாதனை என தேசிய பங்குச் சந்தையின் தலைமை நிர்வாக அதிகாரி அஷிஷ் குமார் சௌகான் பெருமையாகக் குறிப்பிடுகிறார். அதிலும் இரண்டாவது பத்தாயிரம் புள்ளிகளை ஒரு ஆறு வருட காலத்துக்குள்ளாகவே அடைந்திருப்பது அதிகரித்து வரும் நமது பொருளாதார முன்னேற்றத்தைக் கோடிட்டுக்  காட்டுகிறது.

India On The Moon – Triumph of New India Under Modi

 

More than a century ago, the well-known national poet from Tamil Nadu Subramania Bharathi wrote: “வானை அளப்போம்; கடல் மீனை அளப்போம்; சந்திர மண்டலத்து இயல் கண்டு தெளிவோம்” (We will measure the sky and harvest the seas; will find out the nature of the lunar region). Bharat, under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, has fulfilled the dream of Bharathi on Aug. 23,2023, when Chandrayaan-3 landed on the Lunar south pole. Thus, we became the first nation in the World to land on the hitherto unexplored south pole, besides being the fourth nation to land on the moon.

 

After the successful landing, the PM noted: “This moment is unforgettable. This moment is unprecedented. This moment is the victory cry of a developed India. This moment is the triumph of the new India. This moment is about crossing the ocean of difficulties. This moment is about walking on the path of victory. This moment holds the capability of 1.4 billion heartbeats. This moment signifies new energy, new belief, and new consciousness in India. This moment is the call of India’s ascending destiny,” and called it the “first light of success in the dawn of Amrit Kaal”.

 

On this historic achievement, PM said: “We took a pledge on Earth, and we fulfilled it on the Moon…. Today, we have witnessed the new flight of New India in space.”  Besides, he noted: “When we see such a history being made before our eyes, life becomes blessed. Such historical events become the eternal consciousness of a nation’s life.”  

 

Thanks to the dedication and commitment of the scientists and engineers at ISRO, the success of Chandrayaan- 3 was remarkable in many ways. This mission was built and launched at an estimated cost of Rs.615 crores, far less than the budgets of films like Adipurush. Moreover, this is one of India’s most cost effective space missions, cheaper than its predecessor Chandrayaan -2.  The use of indigenous technology and components and the higher participation of women add more value to it.

 

The success has resulted in India being recognized at the global as the nation with a high potential in space science and technology. Over the past nine years, our Prime Minister has been taking several steps to encourage science, technology and innovation at all levels. In the field of space, the establishment of IN-SPACe as an autonomous body under the Department of Space in 2020 to create an eco-system of industry, academia and start-ups and to attract higher share in the global space economy was a significant step. Now it has become a vehicle for enhancing India’s performance in space.

 

Chandrayaan – 3 has so far sent us several details which have to be analyzed by the experts. Besides giving us very valuable scientific insights, there is going to be opportunities for home-grown start-ups and MSMEs, leading to creation of lakhs of jobs and paving ways for new inventions. The naming of the two historic points on the moon as Tiranga Point (foot-print of Chandrayaan-2) and ShivShakti Point (landing spot of Chandrayaan-3) connects our civilizational heritage with the New India emerging at the global level.

 

Our civilization has taught us look at the whole world as one family. Hence, the PM has pointed that India’s moon-mission is based on a human-centric approach and noted that the “success belongs to all of humanity”.

 

This success has enabled us to realize the potential of our nation in the field of space and “propel India’s journey beyond the moon’s orbit” To quote PM: “We will test the limits of our solar system, and we must work to realize the infinite possibilities of the universe for humans.”

 

The entire nation feels proud of Chandrayaan-3 and the achievements of ISRO. Surely it heralds the beginning of a New India in the world of space.

DMK’s Attack on Hindu Dharma Is Against The Foundations of India

 

During the infamous Sanatanam Abolition Conclave organized by a leftist group at Chennai on Sept 2, Tamil Nadu minister Udhayanidhi Stalin compared Sanatana Dharma with ‘dengue’ ‘malaria’, ‘mosquitos’ and ‘corona’ and asserted that it cannot just be opposed, but should be eradicated. Five days later, senior DMK leader Andimuthu Raja stated that Udhayanidhi’s comparisons were ‘mild’ and noted that it should be compared to diseases that carry social stigma like HIV and leprosy.

Soon a senior DMK minister Ponmudy revealed that in spite of the differences among parties, INDIA alliance has been formed to fight against the principles of Sanatana Dharma unitedly, for which power at the central Govt. is important. On Sept 20, Udhayanidhi has clarified that the very objective of starting their movement was to eradicate Sanatana Dharma.

Such diatribes against Hindu Dharma are not new to Tamil Nadu. But this time it is systematic, appears well-planned and more direct with the involvement of the state. Besides the son of the Chief Minister and the heir-apparent himself is leading the attack from the front. After coming to power in 2021, DMK leaders are used to denigrate the Hindu Dharma, sometimes in the meetings organized by the other religious groups.  

Last year Raja made an atrocious statement saying that all the Shudras are the children of prostitutes and they remain so till they remain in Hinduism. For the different problems in the society, be it education, women or social justice, the Dravidian groups jump to connect them to the Sanatana Dharma and conclude that the reasons for all the ills are due to it.

E.V.Ramasamy Naciker (EVR) began the open and direct attacks on the Hindu faith in Tamil Nadu with the formation of Dravidar Kazhagam ( DK) in 1944. During his times, Hindu idols were broken; they were taken in procession with chappals as garlands and holy scriptures burnt. Also, appeal was made to the British Govt. to not to give independence to India; Wanted a separate Dravidian state; Aug 15 was observed as day of mourning and the Indian Constitution was burnt.

EVR called Tamil a barbaric language; insulted the ancient literary master-pieces such as Thirukkural and Silappathikaram. His hatred for Brahmins is well-known that that in the earlier periods they were abused and physically attacked by his followers and driven out of their localities in different places.

DMK is an offshoot of DK, formed in 1959 due to differences with EVR. Since then their leaders also used to attack Hindu Gods, faith, belief systems and practices regularly. Later they gave up their demand for a separate Dravidian land and began to say that there is One God. But apart from these due to political reasons, even now they claim that they are the true followers of EVR and hence his ideology remains in their genes. 

After coming to power in 1967, DMK began to interfere in the Hindu practices and beliefs. Tamil Nadu has the highest number of temples, with many of them being ancient and remaining unique. Most of the temples went under the control of the Hindu- hating DMK atheists. Hence there is complete mismanagement of temples and their properties over the years, often ignoring the directions of the Courts. As a result, it was reported that around 47000 acres of temple lands were found missing during the past few decades.

Over the years, they have removed the lessons relating to the ancient scriptures from school text-books as they revolve around Sanatana Dharma. Instead students are compelled to read about EVR and the DMK leaders.  Besides DMK regularly attempts to portray Tamil Nadu as different from the rest of India, particularly the north, claiming that Tamil language and culture do not have much connections with others. Even though the Aryan- Dravidian theory had been proven wrong many years back, one can still hear voices from the DMK asserting that the north- Indians belong to the Aryan race.

DMK went to the extent of even changing the traditional Tamil New Year officially. In 2008, the Karunanidhi Govt. passed the Tamil Nadu New Year (Declaration) Bill 2008 to change the date of the Tamil new year, from the first day of the month of Chithirai (which falls around mid- April) to the first day of the month of Thai (falling around mid-January 14). Later it was the AIADMK Govt. led Jayalalitha that overturned it in 2011. Hence the DMK is not just anti-Hindu, it is actually against the Tamil culture as the entire nation is part of one Bharathiya civilization.

Even in his later years, the late Chief Minister Karunanidhi used to denigrate the Hindu faith frequently. He once remarked that Hindu means thief. Later when there were criticisms, he gave a different explanation. There was an   instance when he criticized a DMK leader with kumkum on his forehead and during some other time he asked whether Lord Ram was an engineer when there were discussions on Ram Setu. 

But over the years, Karunanidhi was careful to cultivate the Christian and Muslim communities and maintained very close relationships with their leaders. As a result, the DMK gets the highest share of the minority votes even today. Since 2021 Stalin has been following his father’s footsteps, going extra miles to appease them. Karunanidhi always claimed himself a rationalist; now Stalin also says the same. Like his father, Stalin attends the major religious functions of Christians and Muslims regularly.

Even after getting elected as the CM, Stalin refuses to offer greetings on Ganesh Chaturththi, the major Hindu festival.  Besides he allows his alliance partners and anti-Hindu voices to speak ill of the Hindu faith, without any fear of law. His allies such as VCK are regularly attacking the Hindu faith without any hesitation, even while praising other religions openly. Earlier, Udhayanidhi Stalin said he was a proud Christian.

Usually the missionary groups increase their activities during the DMK regimes. Besides, the approach of DMK towards the religious extremists always remain soft. During October last year, there was a car cylinder blast in Coimbatore. When questions were raised about it after evidences began to emerge, DMK maintained that it was just a car cylinder blast. But after NIA took over the case, it was revealed that the person who was driving the vehicle was an activist connected to a terrorist group with plans to kill Hindus and destroy temples. 

Thus while the other religious groups are being pampered, the Hindu faith and practices are being attacked severely from all sides. This is the ‘Dravidian model of secularism’. This cannot be allowed to continue, as it would lead to the destruction of the great Tamil culture. Besides, it poses a threat to the unity and integrity of our mother land.

Tamil is acknowledged as the most ancient language and Tamil culture is built on the age-old civilizational values based on Sanatana Dharma. Since ancient periods, Tamil region in the South and other parts of Bharat have had continuous and deep rooted relationships. The Bakthi movement that created a transformation in the Hindu society originated in the Tamil region around the seventh century CE and spread to the northern and eastern parts across Bharath over the subsequent centuries.   

 Due to the strong foundations Tamil Nadu remains the stronghold of Sanatana Dharma even today. But the Dravidian groups led by DMK are determined to attack it vigorously using the state power. They should not be allowed to take forward their agenda and for this the entire nation should stand as one to defeat their schemes.

The partners of INDIA group should throw DMK out of their alliance and isolate it politically, for its approach is against the very foundations of our nation. In this connection, the opposition parties should take note of what the Congress leader   Pramod Krishnam said recently: "Those who are against Sanatan are also against India because India cannot be imagined without Sanatan." “… I want to appeal to all the senior leaders of the INDIA alliance that political leaders and political parties who speak against Sanatan Dharma should be thrown out of the alliance".

A party such as DMK should have no future in the holy land of Tamil Nadu nurtured by the Sanatana Dharma since time immemorial.
